Overview of our GST Calculator
This GST Calculator is a simple tool that calculates Goods and Services Tax (GST) in every currency. Designed for businesses and individuals, it works in two modes:
GST Add Karein: Add GST to the base amount and get the total (exclusive to inclusive).
GST Remove Karein: Remove tax from the GST amount and get the original amount (inclusive to exclusive).
Key Components
Currency & Amount Input
Currency: American dollar ($) is fixed.
Amount Field:
Label: Amount (PKR)
Placeholder: Enter amount.
Validation: Only numbers are allowed (positive, decimal will work).
GST Rate Input
Label: GST Rate (%).
Placeholder: Enter GST percentage.
Validation:
. 0% to 100%.
. Decimal values will also work (e.g., 17.5%).
Calculation Type Selection
Dropdown Menu: Do options:
Add GST (Exclusive to Inclusive): Get the total amount by adding GST.
Remove GST (Inclusive to Exclusive): Get the original amount by removing GST.
Action Buttons
Calculate:
. Will perform the calculation based on the inputs.
. Will show the result immediately.
Reset:
. Will clear all the fields (amount, GST rate, results).
. “Add GST” will be set to default mode.
Share on WhatsApp:
Will create a message of inputs and results.
WhatsApp will open and the message will be ready.
Result Display
Primary Result:
It will show in bold.
Total Amount (Including GST): PKR [value]” (Add mode mein).
Original Amount (Excluding GST): PKR [value] (Remove mode mein).
Breakdown:

GST Rate: [value]%.

Responsiveness:
Adjust on every screen size (desktop, mobile, tablet).
Functionality
Add GST Mode
How it will work: Apply GST percentage on the original amount and get the total.
Example: PKR 1,000 + 17% GST = PKR 1,170.
Remove GST Mode
How it will work: Remove GST from the total amount and get the original amount.
Example: PKR 1,170 (GST included) → PKR 1,000 original.
Error Handling
. If there is wrong input (alphabets, empty fields) then an alert will be displayed.
. Negative numbers are not allowed.
Technical Specifications
Frontend: HTML (structure), CSS (styling), JavaScript (logic).
Compatibility: Works on Chrome, Firefox, Safari.
Security: Data is not saved, everything is calculated on the client-side.
Performance: Will show the result immediately.
User Workflow
Input: Enter PKR amount and GST rate.
Select Mode: Add GST or Remove GST.
Calculate: Press the Green button, result will be displayed.
Options:
. Reset if need to calculate again.
. Share the result on WhatsApp.
Compliance
. Calculates as every country tax rules.
